Downtown Victoria Business Association improves its online presence

More user-friendly layout, navigation aims to better showcase downtown offerings

The Downtown Victoria Business Association has completed a user-friendly redesign of its website.

The design includes a new introductory video and navigational elements to the About, Doing Business and Resources sections that help make the site experience more intuitive, said Becca Blachut, chief marketing officer at DVBA. It’s a massive upgrade to their website that launched in 2017, she said, and has been in the works since August.

“We’re really proud of the work we do every day for advertising and marketing (businesses in downtown Victoria),” Blachut said, noting that the changes to the website reflect that.

The site, more animated and dynamic, offers a better showcase of the offer, the activities and the people of the city centre.

“The DVBA has so much to offer both our members and the general public when it comes to living, working and visiting downtown Victoria,” added Executive Director Jeff Bray. “We are fortunate to have one of the best mid-sized downtowns in North America and our overhauled website enhances our ability to showcase it.”

DVBA member DesignCoast Creative was chosen to design the new layout.
