GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) — The Greenfield Business Association held a window dressing contest in conjunction with the annual Greenfield Winter Carnival, where a local smokehouse won a window dressing contest.
According to the press release sent to 22News by the Greenfield Business Association, approximately 650 votes were cast by visitors, residents and downtown shoppers throughout the week of February 4-12, with Smoke Heaven emerging as the winner per only 20 votes.
Smoke Heaven store manager Diana Nunez says, “Smoke Heaven is a convenience store with a bit of everything for everyone. We not only sell tobacco pipes and different types of tobacco, we also have children’s toys, food, clothing and much more. Nunez continued, “We participated in the showcase competition this year and focused on the 100th anniversary of the Winter Carnival. We had hearts and Frosty and lots of lights.

Other voter favorites include Goose, Greenfield Garden Cinemas, the YMCA and Greenspace Cowork. Seventeen downtown businesses entered the competition and created a variety of window displays featuring winter scenes and windows full of love for the community. People voted for their favorites and the votes were counted.
The GBA intends to hold the event again during the 2023 Winter Carnival and potentially make it an annual event. She thanks all participating businesses, who made the downtown atmosphere festive and vibrant throughout the 100th Greenfield Winter Carnival.
